Jute, Sisal and Seagrass—these are all examples of natural fiber rugs. There are many fibers which are natural, but this category of rugs is perfect for areas where there is high traffic. It is durable and eco-friendly. Many of them are crafted by hand so that no two are exactly alike. Natural area rugs are often placed on a pad so that they are not prone to slipping or sliding on the underlying surface.

The natural fiber area rug should never be placed where moisture is present. They can't be steam cleaned or wet shampooed. The fiber is only for use indoors. They should not be placed outdoors or where moisture or high humidity is present, as this can cause the deterioration of the fibers.
